Main topics of the congress
The overall congress theme for the 3rd European Congress on Physiotherapy Education for 2012 is “Advancing the Professional Profile” with the focus on “Continuing Professional Development to promote Evidence Based Physiotherapy”.
Main aims will be
- To provide a forum for an integrated view of professional education issues for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Europe, ranging from the perspective of educators, professional organisations, employers, national authorities and the individual physiotherapists.
- To facilitate strategies that will advance the quality of professional education to meet the challenges of a scientific discipline as well as a regulated profession.
The Congress will be structured around 5 core programme themes. Sessions including keynote speakers, symposiums, professional and scientific papers have been structured around these themes.

educators, clinical supervisors, physiotherapy leaders, representatives from European physiotherapy organisations, physiotherapy managers, employers, representatives from national authorities of education and employment, researchers from the clinical, educational and professional field, physiotherapy students.
