In a world of life-long-learning, CPD offers a range of opportunities to both CPD-consumers and CPD-providers. This requires a responsible approach from providers to ensure the quality of the curricula and programme delivery. Consumers also have a responsibility in selecting CPD programmes that are quality assured by an appropriate educational body or professional organization.
Papers are welcome on the following topics:
- issues of accreditation and appraisal procedures;
- informal learning and ECTS within higher education;
- papers discussing the academic level of CPD (does all CPD belong on Masters-level?);
- the relationship between regulatory issues and CPD (e.g. re-registration and CPD);
- mobility and portfolio building.
Finally, this theme can lead into the flexible delivery of CPD meeting the needs of employers and employees in an increasingly complex labour environment, or how CPD providers can collaborate with employers in the delivery of CPD.
