PT, Licentiate in Health Sciences and Assistant Professor Camilla Wikström-Grotell is Dean of the Department Health and Welfare at Arcada University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland. Camilla´s core competences evolve around health prevention, promotion and rehabilitation, educational development, project management and quality assurance. Her research is mainly qualitative and focuses on health behavior and health promotion related to physical activity as well as on concept and theory development in Physiotherapy. Another area of interest is evidence based physiotherapy and development of clinical guidelines. At the moment Camilla teaches mainly in the PT program and in the master programs in health promotion and rehabilitation at Arcada. Publications of interest concern education curricula design, health management and physical activity, evidence based practice and clinical guidelines. Camilla also has peer reviewed research papers and conference presentations about movement as a core concept and historical approaches in physiotherapy. She is a member of the board in Education for rehabilitation professionals, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health since 1997. She is a former vice president of the Finnish Association of Physiotherapists (FAP) and was a member of the chairing group for Nordic Physiotherapy Congress 2005 and 2009. She is a representative of FAP in the education working group, WCPT European region and has also acted as an international representative in quality evaluations of higher education.
